Humboldt County detectives traced the driver of the car that picked up Danielle Bertolini Brooks CA - Danielle Bertolini Brooks, 23, Fortuna, 29 Jan 2014. He also happened to be the jilted boyfriend of Sheila Franks CA - Sheila Franks, 37, Fortuna, 2 Feb 2014. Further investigation revealed that James Eugene Jones also knew Karen Mitchell Ca - Karen Marie Mitchell, 16, Eureka, 25 Nov 1997. LE also believes that two other disappearances are part of the same series: Christine Walters CA - Christine Walters, 23, Arcata, 14 Nov 2008 and Jennifer "Jade" Wilmer CA - Jennifer Wilmer, 21, Willow Creek, 13 Sept 1993. Consequently, they have dubbed Jones a Person of Interest, though not a suspect.

While Danielle's skull has been found, as of yet there is no hard evidence of the other four women being deceased. However, soft evidence, such as their disappearances without ID, money, or personal effects, seems to indicate their demise.

I have located and skimmed sources for the above, but there is a mother lode of info to be explicated in those sources. Here's one to peruse.

Admittedly, Danielle's eye color is a semi-guess. I looked at a photo, but she might have been wearing contact lenses.

As for Sheila Franks, she may be older than the other four, but she is blonde, and she definitely angered Jones with her refusal of romance.

Thanks for starting this thread, Burblestein. Jones would have been about 18 when Jennifer/Jade Wilmer disappeared in 1993. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

Hannah Jane Rowell disappeared the same month as Jennifer and isn’t dissimilar in looks, although older. Also reddish hair.

I wonder if there are any missing women between 1997 and 2008 who could be victims. It’s a big gap on the list of the five. Also a gap from 2008 to 2014 when Danielle and Sheila disappeared. I quickly scanned the Humboldt forum and didn’t see anyone too likely in terms of looks.

But then in 2014 there were two within a month of each other, definitely connected to Jones. A few months later in August 2014 Victoria Tatro disappeared. She has a similar look to the others, with reddish-blonde hair.

I wondered a couple of years ago on this thread if Jennifer Atkins had crossed paths with Jones. She probably disappeared in the spring of 2015. There’s very little information about her.

What kind of stories are you looking for? I have newspapers did a quick search on him. nothing pops out right off the bat. Would be interested in seeing if this guy was ever buddies with the one criminal that Jennifer Wilmer knew. and supposedly mentioned in her note.. Mingo.

Sadly the Times-Standard only had years from 1952-1977. So nothing in that paper is coming up. But I will keep searching for any other information I can find on him.

And James E Jones brings up a lot James Earl Jones In California. "Luke I am your father."

I added the information above. I’m really hoping and praying people including the media will include Victoria when referencing women who’ve disappeared in Humboldt County. The similarities of the relative appearance of nearly all the women above, including Victoria, is pretty striking. Her wallet was also found with her ID, in the trash.
She is in the same height range, eye color, weight range, etc.

It is heartbreaking that Victoria seems to have been forgotten in all this, not by her family, but by the media and LE. I’m always very appreciative when I see others on here who have included her among the missing. We are very grateful for that.

It’s horrid all the way for all the families and for everyone who cares.

New Information related to Victoria Joy Tatro. (Victoria Scofield—Birth name Maryleah Frizzell)

As of this morning, Saturday January 12, 2019, someone posted 12 photos on Victoria’s Facebook timeline. This person tagged 35 people in the header, and also tagged people under each photo. No one that we know of has access to her password. This is the first activity since she’s been missing 4 years 6 months ago.

I need your help, please.
I called the Eureka police but who knows how quickly they’ll move on this.

1. How do I reach Facebook and quickly to have them track the identity and location of whoever posted the photos?

2. The images are of different locations. Does anyone recognize any of the locations? Do you mind trying to help me track if they are just stock photos, including for ray burn sunglasses. Or elsewhere?

Can anyone identify the model of car in one of the photos? How about the mountain? Where is it? The bridge? Any of the locations???

3. Does anything stand out to you?

Its a Ray Ban sunglasses scam... That's why 35 other people were tagged in it. Its pretty common, and I honestly doubt a human was even involved in posting it. It was probably just a bot account or someone's account that was taken over to send spam.

I’m adding a new missing woman to the list. Natalie Ruth Thomas has brown hair and brown (not blue) eyes, but her delicate looks tie in with the other victims IMO. She was last seen in Arcata May 11, 2019. She is a transient who stays in hotels, but kept in touch with her family until recently. At age 31 she is a little older than the other victims.
