On 2/22/23, approximately 9:40 PM, SLPD responded to investigate a missing person (Jiankang Huang). Huang was described as an Asian, male, adult, 76 years old, 5’06”, 150 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a black jacket and black pants. Huang also wears a bracelet with his name on it. (Please see attachd photo).

Huang was last seen leaving his residence at 1:00 PM on foot and was believed to be taking an AC Transit Bus to Chinatown-Oakland (which he frequents). Huang has gone missing in the past and was previously located in Richmond and Oakland.

Huang is at risk due to an Alzheimers diagnosis and does not have a cell phone with him. Huang only speaks Cantonese and Mandarin and knows how to use public transit. If located please contact the San Leandro Police Department at 510-577-2740.

I hope he will be found safe. There has been a lot of violence against elderly people in Oakland's Chinatown.
