Authorities received a call at around 9 p.m. Friday about a baby who was not breathing in the 5700 block of Monaco Drive, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The 1-year-old child was taken to the hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead, Lt. Brandon Dean said.
"We're here today just treating the death as a suspicious death," Dean said. "We don't know if it's accidental or what, that's why we're out here today."
Dean described the baby as a foster child.

Video from the scene shows a car being towed away from the residence, as well as three small children being removed from the home by who appear to be officials with the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services.

In a car seat -- hmmmm. Looks like a nice neighborhood in Palmdale on Monaco Street.
I guess we'll wait for the autopsy results -- the current temp there now is 56 F, so it wouldn't appear that the child was in danger from very high or very low temperature in that area if he had been forgotten and left in the vehicle. JMHO. Could he have choked or had a seizure? Was he subject to physical abuse or withholding of food? Some disease or physical problems that he had since birth?
Let's hope we'll hear more soon.
Thanks, @imstilla.grandma for starting this thread -- I'm gonna follow.
One year old. SMH.

Thanks for starting this thread. We need the year corrected to 2020. Just don’t want people to scroll past thinking it’s a cold case or such.

Oh crud, I just noticed that. Thank you for pointing it out. I’m so sorry. My fingers sometimes shake and tap like a telegraph. I’ll report and have it changed.

Deputies have interviewed the infant's parents, but no arrests have been made.

The boy was found unresponsive in a carseat inside a vehicle outside the home, detectives say.

Video at link states authorities are treating it as a suspicious death because they are unclear if it was accidental.
