Circumstances of Disappearance:
Riley went missing from Barstow, California on July 8, 1995. He was last seen around 1:30 PM getting into an American model maroon colored sedan with Mark Wayne Adamson and possibly a third party. Adamson's roommate told police that Adamson and Riley left town with a large sum of money to buy a vehicle. Both men have never been heard from again.

Authorities believe their disappearances were drug-related and that they met with foul play. In December 2012, Christian Leonard Bunty Sr. and James Linzy Franklin were charged with Adamson and Riley's murders. The charges against Bunty were dropped for lack of evidence in the spring of 2014. Franklin was convicted of both charges of murder in September 2015.

Adamson and Riley's whereabouts remain unknown, although both are presumed deceased and are possibly buried in the Mojave Desert.

In this case, it's most likely that they were ambushed to be robbed... perhaps they were offered a good sale price for a vehicle and got excited... knowing they would bring money because they themselves told the sellers or it was a condition of selling it... just bring cash... perhaps the just paid for sinners...
whatever the case
Rest in peace
