Family members received a report from a car dealer in Portland, Ore. saying Karen had purchased a car on Dec. 19 or 20 but when Jeanie contacted the dealership they couldn't provide her sister's photo identification.
When Jeanie asked the DMV for the paperwork, her sister's signature wasn't included.
"I'm lost," Jeanie said. "I don't know where she is."

Oceanside — The sister of an Oceanside woman reported missing three days before Christmas is still searching for her, even though authorities believe the woman left on her own.
