CA - Kassandra Ochoa, 21, brutally murdered, Los Angeles, 21 Nov 2015

Authorities are searching for a homeless man suspected of beating his 21-year-old girlfriend to death with a hammer in East Los Angeles, California.

On Saturday, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon in the 470 block of South Sydney Drive around 1 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they found Kassandra Ochoa bleeding and unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
28-year-old Antonio Medina is suspected, Witnesses said they heard Medina arguing with Ochoa and saw him flee the scene. He was spotted wearing a gray thermal shirt and dark pants. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Authorities are now searching for 28-year-old Antonio Medina, whom they believe was dating Ochoa. Witnesses told police that they saw Medina running away from the scene, and that they had heard the pair arguing before Ochoa's death.

I can't find any news articles but I believe he has a pen pal page which states

Latest Release Date: Life Incarcerated Since: 2005 Incarcerated For: Second Degree Murder

So guessing that means he pled guilty and has been sentenced, correct? I can't get the http://www.cdcr.ca.gov/ to work to be able to see other information.

Is this posted on the correct thread? It says incarcerated since 2005 and Antonio Medina was arrested in 2015.
