No foul play suspected in investigation of missing south Sacramento boy

KC “Jimmy” Nguyen, 9, was reported missing by family members late Wednesday. Department spokesman Sgt. Tony Turnbull said Nguyen got in an argument with his mother Wednesday afternoon and left his home after she went to a store. He was last seen by an older brother playing in front of his apartment at about 8 p.m. on the 8000 block of 68th Avenue.

Family alerted authorities of the missing 9-year-old boy at around 11 p.m., Turnbull said. He is considered at risk because of his age.

A KCRA 3 news crew found a south Sacramento boy walking along a street in Sacramento and helped reunite him with his family.

KC "Jimmy" Nguyen, 9, was spotted by KCRA reporter Max Resnik and photographer Brian Fong walking on 68th Avenue. Resnik called officers, who were around the corner searching for Jimmy.
