According to the AVA, Khadijah was possibly abducted at gunpoint by Negie Falis. They had a boyfriend-girlfriend dispute, and left where she was staying in a black Mercedes at about midnight on 9 February.

I can't open the article, but searching that name brings me to a 37 year old and a 55 year old. Last name spelled with 2 l's.

This article was updated to say the same thing and states Negie Fallis, 27, is a SUSPECT in her disappearance.

The primary suspect in the investigation is her boyfriend, Negie Fallis, 27, of Covelo, who is also wanted in connection with a January domestic violence incident involving the missing woman.

Witnesses told the MCSO that Fallis arrived at Britton’s residence at around midnight on the night of February 9 with “what appeared to be a small derringer pistol” and demanded she exit the building and speak with him, according to a press release. Reportedly, the two then had a physical altercation, after which they left together in a black Mercedes sedan. Britton has not been seen or heard from since. Britton’s disappearance was reported to the MCSO on Monday, February 12, and a press release was issued today.

AVA says LE believes Falis is associated with the Grindstone Rancheria near Orland. As can be seen by the map, the direct route between Covelo and Grindstone passes through some of the wildest territory of the lower 48, the Mendocino National Forest. Khadijah was probably dropped off out there.

The arraignment of Negie Fallis was moved to Friday, March 9 at 9 a.m., following the request of Assistant Public Defender Christiane Hipps during a court appearance on Friday.

Fallis is the primary suspect in the kidnapping of Khadijah Britton, a 23-year-old Native American woman from Covelo last seen on Feb. 9. His original arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 27, but the court moved his arraignment date to March 2 due to the lack of time he and his public defender had to meet. The current delay is to give more time for the defense to check to make sure there is no conflict of interest from previous cases.


The judge decided to have Fallis remain in the county jail and conducted the arraignment through video instead of bringing him into court.
The special circumstances were arranged due to the high number of people who wanted to watch and the need to make sure that no issues occurred in the courtroom, according to Mendocino County DA spokesman Mike Geniella. The defense gave its approval to the video arraignment.

Also, there is a $50,000 reward put up by an anonymous donor.
