Only a skull, found near Kramer Junction, records the existence of another nameless person, now listed as John Doe No. 16-88. Coroner's inspector Marshall Franey of Barstow said two powerline surveyors discovered it April 15 north of state Highway 58. No other bones were found.
Officials are checking dental records to try to determine John Doe 16's identity, Franey said.
