Wow, I just Googled, and yeah, that age is WAY out. No wonder it took so long. This Jane Doe has been identified as Cassidy Hopwood. The original age estimation was way off, which is why she went unidentified for 8 months. They adjusted the age range of the Jane Doe later on and I submitted Cassidy as a match through email to La Mesa Police, as well as to El Cajon Police on 10/24. She was identified 2 weeks later. They still haven't taken the NAMUS profile down, but there are articles about her being identified all over San Diego news outlets. Very sad situation.

It's such a terrifying and ruthless drug. There's no playing around with it. Makes quaaludes and garden variety heroin of the past seem almost benign. RIP Cassidy and condolences to her loved ones. From the Fox 5 San Diego article: "Her cause of death was determined to be fentanyl-related." Heartbreaking. RIP Cassidy.
