I can't find anything more recent than his high school photos from almost a decade before he disappeared.

Had a look at this MP tonight for a while. I found no journalism about his disappearance in the newspaper archives I use. However, the database is by no means exhaustive. I think his birthdate was July 19th, 1950 as per the newspaper clipping attached that references his 11th birthday in 1961. If anyone has a behind-the-paywall membership at Ancestry active right now, then you could look in his family tree using the birthdate. His name might appear as Larry instead of Lawrence. Sometimes family members write stories of a missing person's case in his spot in a family tree.

I felt that the closest match in NamUs was UP4441, with some discrepancies. This John Doe matched for age, height (one inch off), weight, and ethnicity. The John Doe was found in 1977 and thought to have died as early as 1976 in a county not too far away from where Lawrence Feeley was last seen. Date-of-death estimates can be taken with a grain of salt.
