While there are good and bad areas of Compton, it is a high crime rate location.
This is such a sad story.

2-year-old Girl Found Dead in Compton, Mother Questioned

Police are not calling anyone a suspect.

The girl's father called 911, according to authorities.

The child was found unresponsive, and was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the investigation is still in the preliminary stages, but they're treating it as a murder investigation.

The girl has been identified only by her first name, Leslie.

RIP Little Leslie. Sounds like the father or boyfriend did this. One article says bio dad another says bf. All of a sudden he moves in and the baby is dead?
