Circumstances of Recovery The decedent was found unresponsive under a tree in Heartwell Park in Long Beach on the afternoon of 7/6/2022. No wallet, ID card, or cell phone were found on or near the decedent. House keys were found in the decedents sock. He does not appear to be a transient.​

(website link removed by me) is that him? That would be really sad. An accomplished man, yet remained UID for so long.

Edit: apparently not him. There is another website and he posted on it recently.
There is a huge number of Walter Sanfords in CA, however. One was a real estate agent who was shot in the 1990s, another one in Long Beach who is alive and a very active speaker and real estate agent and then our now identified Walter.

I wonder if they are all related, the name combination is not very common. And all in the same area.
