Carl, did you do this reconstruct from pictures or ???

I can't seem to find any on her at Namus.

Thanks,

Yes, I have a very poor quality PM photo of her that I got back in the days when LA County posted PM photos on the coroner's website.

Her entire forehead, most of her eyebrows, and her right cheek are photoshopped over to cover up graphic detail, but her other features (hair, nose, lips, chin, and overall facial shape) were adequate enough to come up with what I think is a pretty good representation of her look.

Bumping case up. @CarlK90245 your reconstruction for this woman is no longer visible on the thread :(. Do you happen to still have it?

I'm thinking this case is still solvable. They have so many identifiers. Going to think positive on this one...

Any possibility she is Eugenia Cortez? There's no page for her, but the page for this boy Alex Ferguson says his mother Eugenia Cortez is also missing. There's no page for Cortez or information about her anywhere but with the timeline is she a candidate?

Bumping her up. Never heard of her! New case for me to start investigating. @CarlK90245 as for your low quality PM photo you speak of, was she in good enough condition that reconstruction was easy enough? Just asking because that reconstruction is amazing as always. :)

I wish we had pictures of the items found with her, esp the broach

The PM was very blurry and half of her head was covered over with Photoshop smudge.

Still managed to bring her to life! Amazing work as always. Again, looks like I’m face to face with her.

This might be a long shot, but Mirian Mancia has some similarities:

Mirian Elizabeth Mancia

Date of Last Contact: May 12, 1988
Missing From: Los Angeles, California
Missing Age: 29 Years
Race / Ethnicity: Hispanic / Latino
Biological Sex: Female
Height: 5' 3" (63 Inches)
Weight: 110 lbs
Brown eyes and black hair
Clothing: White blouse, blue jeans
Mancia was last seen in the vicinity of Goodman Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, California on May 12, 1988. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case, but authorities say she disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

Jane Doe

Date Body Found: June 10, 1988
Location Found: Los Angeles, California
Estimated Age Range: 20-30 Years
Biological Sex: Female
Race / Ethnicity: White / Caucasian (Doe Network also lists her as Hispanic)
Height: 5' 2"(62 inches) , Measured
Weight: 104 lbs, Measured
Brown eyes and brown to blonde hair; short and curly
Clothing: Brown button up blouse with a button missing and held closed with a safety-pin, blue pants, pink panties, white bra, white socks, and white ankle high shoes - boot style. Yellow metal broach held in her right hand, white metal men's digital Quartz watch, white metal ring and a white metal ring with a large clear stone.
The decedent was located on the sidewalk at 1600 block of East 40th Place in Los Angeles with trauma to her head.

Note: This source, Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has various mistakes. They listed her eyes as blonde and her jewelry as tattoos.

Sources:
Jane Doe: Doe Network
Jane Doe's NamUs
Mirian's NamUs
Mirian Elizabeth Mancia – The Charley Project
Mirian: Doe Network

Here are the similarities:

Age: Jane Doe's age was between 20 and 30. Mirian was 29 years old.

Date of Last Contact and Locations: Jane Doe was found on June 10, 1988. Mirian disappeared on May 12, 1988. This means that each incident occurred within a month of each other. Jane Doe was found on the sidewalk at the 1600 block of East 40th Place in Los Angeles. Mirian was last seen near Goodman Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The distance between 1600 E 40th Pl, Los Angeles, California, and Goodman Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, is about 21.0 miles. In a car, it would take approximately 41 minutes to travel 21.0 miles via I-5 N.

From the lack of information in Mirian's case, it seems likely that she was not reported by someone close to her or that she lived a nomadic lifestyle. I have made this judgment based on her use of aliases, the limited details about her disappearance, and the strong speculation that she met with foul play. This judgment also suggests that her height may have been misreported as 5'3" instead of being 5'2" like Jane Doe. Between the month she was missing, Mirian could have easily lost 6 pounds, or her weight could have been rounded up.

Physical Similarities: Both had brown eyes and dark, short, curly hair. However, Jane Doe may have had some blonde hair. This difference could also be explained by Mirian coloring her hair. They both wore a similar style of clothing: blouses and blue jeans.

Differences: From the reconstruction, Jane Doe appears to have a larger nose, whereas Mirian may have a more slender nose. However, it is difficult to determine if her nose was thinner due to the poor quality of the photo, because Mirian's head was tilted or the photo enhancement.

Also, there is no public rule out on NamUs. What does everyone think?
