If true, I hope that woman receives not one ounce of pity from anyone. Looks like she got what she wanted. Poor little boys. I'm sure she didn't want you to join her just yet, but your mama is holding you all in her arms right now. RIP

Hospital: Father in stabbing of 3 boys expected to survive

LOS ANGELES
A hospital spokeswoman says a Los Angeles father who police believe stabbed his young sons to death before turning the blade on himself is expected to survive his wounds.

Rosa Saca, a spokeswoman for LAC+USC Medical Center, says Luis Fuentes is in stable, non-critical condition.

Los Angeles Police say he will be arrested once doctors give them the go-ahead.
It's unclear if Fuentes has an attorney.

3 brothers fatally stabbed were subject of abuse investigations by L.A. County


On Friday, police booked Fuentes in the death of Luis Alfanso Fuentes,10; Juan Daniel Fuentes, 9; and Alexander Fuentes, 8. Online records say that he is being held on $3-million bail.

As police detectives piece together the events that led to the stabbing, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has launched an investigation into whether social workers adequately probed several allegations that the boys were at risk and whether staff responded appropriately to what they learned.

The DCFS involvement with the family began in March 2010, when someone called the county's child abuse hotline to allege that the boys were being physically abused, said two officials who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case. Social workers were unable to prove or disprove the allegation and marked it inconclusive, the officials said.

October 2015:

on Sept. 3 [2010], the child abuse hotline received another call from someone who said Luis had shown his teacher a bruise on his stomach that he said was left by his father's belt. Luis reportedly told the teacher that Fuentes also beat his brothers. County doctors examined the child and determined his bruise came from abuse, the records say...

The boys were removed by social workers from Fuentes' care that day and moved to Barrales' residence, but they were returned to their father on Oct. 27 because of a court order, the records say.

At the time, social workers linked the abuse to Fuentes' grief over the death of his wife — the boys' mother — in 2008. Fuentes was ordered by the juvenile court to undergo grief counseling and participate in classes on parenting skills, the records show.

Fuentes needed a safe space to grieve the death of his wife. His boys needed support to deal with the loss of their mother. The family needed help with finances, child care, housing, parenting.

Instead Fuentes got interrogations, court orders and official rebukes from child welfare officials who intended to help, then failed to follow through.

A man accused of fatally stabbing his three young sons inside an SUV in South Los Angeles in September pleaded not guilty today to three counts of murder.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Sergio C. Tapia II ordered Luiz Fuentes, 33, to remain jailed without bail while awaiting his next court appearance Jan. 26.
