Man Sexually Assaulted 14-Year-Old Girl Inside a Los Angeles Restaurant, District Attorney Says

A California man allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl inside a Hollywood restaurant, the Los Angeles County District Attorney said on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

On Nov. 5, David Josue Lopes allegedly approached a girl inside the restaurant on Nov. 5, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a statement on Wednesday, Nov. 12. He allegedly then took her to an enclosed area in the restaurant and physically and sexually assaulted her.

“The allegations in this case are horrifying,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. “An innocent child and her family have suffered an unthinkable trauma that will leave lasting scars. My Office will use every legal tool available to seek justice for this young victim and to ensure that the individual responsible is held accountable under the law.”

David Josue Lopes (dob 8/29/87) of Los Angeles has been charged in case 25CJCF07314 with one felony count of forcible lewd act upon a child under 14. He also faces allegations of aggravated kidnapping and infliction of bodily harm on a child under 14 years old.

Detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims due to the bold and serious nature of the assault.

I agree, this sounds like someone well-practiced in committing these crimes. Hopefully, if there are other victims, the fact he's been arrested will help them feel safe enough to come forward
