Police are looking for a Newman man with dementia who disappeared from home more than two weeks ago.

Martin Ruvalcaba, 47, also has Huntington’s disease, a degenerative nervous system disorder, his family said.

About 10:55 a.m. on Feb. 14, Ruvalcaba’s wife asked him to take a shower, according to the police report. When she went to check on him about five minutes later, he was gone and the garage door was partially open.

Ruvalcaba was last seen at his home on Canyonlands Way near Grand Canyon Way wearing blue jeans and a black sweater. He should be wearing a medic alert bracelet.

Police ask anyone with information about Ruvalcaba to call the Newman Police Department at 552-2472.
