As a side note, at one time Chula Vista had a reputation as being a safe city- despite some nay saying due to its location very close to the Mexican border.

It would be interesting to know if she was a member of a local tribal group. San Diego county is home to a good number of autonomous native bands of the Kumeyaay (sp) tribe and also has one band of an unrelated tribal group.

All local native bands, however, have treaty agreements with San Diego Sheriff's office regarding law enforcement as they are not large enough, nor contiguous enough to truly support their own native police departments.

The San Diego County Sheriffs office- well,at least in the glory boom days of local economy, had an over all good reputation for efficiency and also had plenty of resources. Things may have changed though..... .
