Clothing on the decedent at time of the accident, Burgundy track jacket with three white lines going down the arms, a red sweatshirt with the statement "Christmas Formal," Burgundy sweatpants and Levis, a 10 1/2 Brooks brand tennis shoe blue in color on the left foot and a 9 1/2 Nike Air Brand tennis shoe , white in color on the right foot. The decedent also had a Gray Outdoor Product backpack containing misc clothing.

A "KZ106" Gold card was located with the decedent unknown if on the decedent or with his belongings. The card is with a radio station WSKZ out of Chattanooga, TN. Number on the card is 0607022

Three stripes suggests an Adidas jacket. Were the jacket & pants a set, or just both burgundy?

6' 1" and 170, is this an athlete wearing athletic clothes?

Did both shoes fit? Long ago I knew a family with a high school basketball player. His feet were different sizes, and the family was of sufficient means to buy 2 pairs of shoes for basketball. Usually Mom could find two pairs of the same style so the shoes 'matched.'

But our guy's do not. Do both shoes fit? Or, is this a homeless situation, or another situation where the decedent ends up with mis-matched shoes?

And -- anything beyond Christmas Formal? Name of a high school or college?

Or just another indicator of thrift-store clothing?

Did LE call the radio station 7 ask how many cards were distributed? IF there were thousands, well no help there.

But -- if there were 50, even 100, that could be some help.

Anyone find a college athlete missing from Chattanooga, preferably missing from college with burgundy/maroon in their school colors!

I filed a public records request with the Merced County Sheriff's Department for Medical Examiner's Records about this John Doe. Some interesting information came back, but in regards to the radio station, the Medical Examiner's office did in fact reach out to them.

From a narrative of efforts to identify this John Doe, the following information was collected:

"REACHED OUT TO KELLY MCCOY WIH KZ106 LOCATED IN CHATTANOOGA, TN. KELLY RETURNED MY CALL ON 6/22/21 AND STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A WAY OF KNOWING WHO THE CARDS BELONGED TO. SHE STATED THAT THEY DID HAVE INTEREST CARDS, BUT THOSE TOO HAD BEEN DESTROYED YEARS AGO. SHE STATED THAT THEIR STATION REACHES 100 MILES IN ANY DIRECTION, I ALSO ASKED HOW LONG THE GOLD CARDS WERE IN USE SHE STATED FROM 1980-1990’S."
