Found Deceased CA - Minelys Rodriguez, 25 - Habersham County - Last Seen by the Walmart in Cornelia - 22 October 2024

While it remains unclear whether Rivera-Sanchez was the person buying the photo at Walmart or if it was a random attack, prosecutors will also charge him with murder in connection to Rodriguez-Ramirez's death, according to the press release.

Newsweek contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which stated, "There are no new updates to report. The investigation is active and ongoing."

Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches was in the country illegally, according to state lawmakers who called her murder a “preventable tragedy.”
He was arrested last Monday on kidnapping charges related to the disappearance of Minelys “Mimi” Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez, whose remains were found about a week after she was reported missing.

Rivera-Sanches — who is expected to be charged with the young mom’s murder following an autopsy — had crossed the southern border illegally and was reportedly trying to run back to Mexico when he was arrested.

Minelys family does not believe the alleged killer acted alone
