EUREKA, Calif. - The Eureka Police Dept. (EPD) is asking for the public's help in locating Patrick Cody McCracken, 26, from Nevada, who was last seen at a motel on the 1900 block of Broadway in Eureka around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

McCracken was reported missing by family members on Tuesday, and it is believed that he may be near the Eureka Waterfront, according to EPD.

McCracken is described as being 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and heavily-tattooed arms. Police said he was possibly wearing a Kansas City Chiefs baseball hat, a red t-shirt, and a gray jacket.

Anyone with information on McCracken's location is asked to call EPD at 707-441-4044.

In reading his FB page, something happened on December 4 to make him feel heartbroken.

He has reposted a bunch of pics from 2 years ago of a little boy. Maybe his son, or nephew?

According to the Eureka Police, the 26-year-old Nevada man who was reported missing January 2 has been located. According to Brittany Powell, a spokesperson for Eureka Police, “Patrick McCracken was cleared from the missing person system. He was found safe in Eureka by family on the evening of January 3, 2018.”

Good work, family! So glad he’s safe and didn’t become another lost-in-HumCo missing person. I love it when they’re found before I even know they’re missing!
