Yesterday was two weeks since Paul Farmer went missing. This is very local to me, and I am reading about a lot of activity of family/friends trying to find him. Apparently there was what they are taking as a credible sighting here in my city, and they did some extensive searching on 9/7. Despite different sightings being reported, nothing has panned out yet. I really hope he is found soon.

Here is the missing page that has been created for him: MISSING Paul Farmer/Belmont, CA

Hard to believe we lost this gentleman in a dense population of the San Francisco Bay Area..
The only thing I can think of is the railroad tracks.
It would take a dedicated team to do this walk.
They are looking for a body at this time. I doubt he is still alive unless some homeless person has adopted him..
Homeless make shelters to sleep in along the rail system at various locations and a group of people could walk the rail system. It should be done as a group for everyone's safety.
The homeless are collectors of everything they find and some of these shelter areas are a disaster with piles of stuff everywhere.
But each of these shacks / sheds needs to be looked at and all surrounding area along the rail system. That rail system is long. From Belmont and where he was last witnessed he could in fact access that rail to walk along. He would eventually have to make a decision to walk South towards Gilroy or Turn to the north and that would take him through San Jose and if he walked further he would end up in Alviso and beyond over the bay water.

KRON) — The remains of an elderly Belmont man have been found nearly four years after he was reported missing.

*************
In 2023, Farmer’s identification card was found in March in a waterway in lower San Mateo which was later reported to the department in May. This discovery led Belmont Police investigators to an area south of Highway 92 near Hillsdale Boulevard, Belmont police said.

On June 25, police discovered human remains after a search through a hillside and dense brush. The remains were discovered to be that of Paul Farmer, according to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of his death remains unknown.
