Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies say remains found in November next to the Annenberg Estate in Rancho Mirage are those of a missing housekeeper. 39-year-old Christina Hernandez was identified through DNA testing. The cause of death remains under investigation. Her remains were discovered by a man tracking coyotes near the Tamarisk Country Club. Hernandez lived nearby. She was a housekeeper in exchange for room and board at the home of Joni and Don Maltzman on Tamarisk Lane. The Maltzmans reported her missing on a Sunday in June.
