I came across this guy on the Charley Project i didn’t see him posted on here. Here the information i have on him from the Charley Project and LAPD website

Medical Conditions
Kirchmann may have been in the early stages of dementia at the time of his disappearance.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Kirchmann had a mustache at the time of his 1996 disappearance. He wears eyeglasses. He has a tattoo of the cartoon character Snoopy on his forearm and another tattoo of the name "Liz" written in old English script.
Details of Disappearance
Kirchmann was last seen in Sylmar, California on July 5, 1996. He was employed as a truck driver for a brewing company in Los Angeles, California in 1996. He told a co-worker he wanted to travel to St. Louis, Missouri for a few days, but it is not known if he ever arrived there. He packed his belongings before he left.
Kirchmann's car was discovered abandoned at Ontario International Airport in California on July 12, one week after he disappeared. There was no sign of Kirchmann at the scene and no indication that he boarded a flight out of the airport.
He has never been heard from again. Some investigators theorize that he does not remember who he is and is hospitalized somewhere as a "John Doe" patient.
Some agencies may state that Kirchmann disappeared from San Fernando, California on July 12, 1996.

Circumstances
Mr. Kirchmann resided in the Sylmar are of Los Angeles. Mr. Kirchmann was employed by a brewing company in Los Angeles and confided with a co-worker that he wanted to travel to St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to his disappearance Mr. Kirchmann packed personal belongings. His vehicle was recovered abandoned at Ontario Airport.
Also I’m pretty sure this isn’t him but kind of looks like him in my opinion

It said he might have been in the early stages of Dementia but he never boarded a flight unless he used an Alias or no one remembered seeing him board the flight. If his car was found abandon at the Ontario CA airport that can be tricky did he purposely leave his car there and get a cab out of the area? did he actually drive the car to airport in the first place? Who actually reported him missing? Was it his co-worker who he talked to when he said he wanted to go to St Louis for a few days? Is he actually in St Louis and been living there all these years possibly by the same name or a different name under an alias with new social security number etc? If he had dementia could he be in a nursing home in California, Missouri or anywhere else and doesn’t realize he is a John Doe. Could he be homeless and on the streets somewhere?
From what i read Richard wasn’t married and he didn’t have kids or family around the State of California that we know of but probably was friends or knew other truckers in the state of California and possibly other states as well.
If anyone was friends, Co-Workers or briefly knew Richard i would love to hear from you or if you worked at the Ontario CA airport in 1996 and might remember seeing someone like Richard that be great to hear to.
This also goes for people especially care givers, doctors and nurses plus dentist or eye doctors around the United States and even Canada who currently work or worked in hospitals, Health Care, Dental, Hearing or Eye Clinics or nursing home at anytime between July 1996 to Present day. If you remember seeing someone like Richard come into your office then please reach out to LAPD police with this information ASAP. Thank You
I also understand Richard is an adult he can leave on his own but with the mention that he was probably in the early stages of Dementia i figured i would post this just to get the word out in case anyone remembers seeing him at anytime between July 1996 to Present Day.
