I'm finding a potential DOB of Sept 7th 1945. There is someone by the same name who was born in WV in 1945. This person appears to have moved from WV to NY between 1945-1950. There is a marriage record for someone by that name in NY, Spouse initials are AS. License was issued in 1972.

I'll continue updating as I find more info

As I've continued digging I Personally have come to the conclusion that the Richard mentioned above is indeed the Richard that is missing.

His mother died in 1958 and his father died in 2000. He has a single brother. ( initials JB) and a sister in law ( initials SB) which matches up with the info listed in NamUs.

I am wife, AS. I believe I may have possibly located him. UP # 8967 out of Oregon in 2009. I shared that info with my specialist at Namus.

Hi Audrea and welcome. Sorry for your loss. Have you heard anything back? What in the profile made you think it was him?
Hi Nate,
Thanks for your note....Why did I think it was him?
Age Fit, Height Fit (Short guy), location was familiar to him, Hair & Eye color & Beard and totally missing off the face of the earth. He was living out of a Winnebago Motor Home so a "House key" on a lanyard found on his body was not out of line either.
What I read recently about this case is that the teeth were deteriorated and they found methamphetamines in his system which leads me to believe this person is NOT him. I could be mistaken as I have had no contact in many years and he could have gone down a different path than I remember him.
I was contacted by NamUS (CA) but also saw a new specialists name for Oregon and I reached out to her.
Do you know how this works? Who takes the lead? the police dept or NamUs? He is a Veteran so there should be fingerprints on file and also has a living brother & Son for DNA sampling. I guess that I am just waiting to hear from someone

The Resolved cases for California only went up by one case, although 2 cases were removed in the same time frame, Richard's case and MP100244 (BC). One of them is not resolved but I don't know which one.
After reading the posts in this thread I am leaning towards Richard's profile being removed from public view, but that is just my opinion.

ETA: After searching for information about MP100244 (BC) I found confirmation that he has been found, so it seems like the solved case was indeed his.

Hi again. Any updates, or any photos of Richard?
