MY COMMENTS: Interesting case that is now cold, but recent enough for good opportunity of resolution. My focus of question was the detail of there being “no proof that he actually left his house on when he disappeared”. His truck is missing with him? Did they check phone location records? Perhaps the lack of a trail there is what leads to the statement that they don’t know he left his house? My thinking is this either implies he voluntary disappeared and didn’t want to leave a trail, or that someone killed him at home and disposed of the truck, but of course that is only speculation and we don’t want to implicate anyone who was there without evidence. Ricky is close to my age, and I grew up frequenting Grass Valley out of Reno, a California man of his age would be likely to carry a working smartphone on a typical road trip I reckon.
