Police search for missing North County man with Alzheimer’s

Police and family members were searching for an elderly man with Alzheimer’s who went missing in South Escondido Thursday.

Romy Castro was last seen at his home off Brotherton Road on Wednesday evening, wearing a grey shirt with a tan jacket, black pants and black moccasins. He has black and grey hair with brown eyes. He wears eyeglasses.

Officials say Castro is at risk because of his Alzheimer’s and because he takes heart medication.
