Since Friday, Rosemarie McNeal has been missing out of the Carrick, Calif. area which is near Weed.

She was last seen at a residence in the area on Maple Street in Carrick.

Woman missing from Carrick area may be endangered

Authorities believe Rosemarie “Marie” McNeal, age 52, may be endangered, the Sheriff’s Office said in a Monday press release. A dark blue minivan with Oregon license plates, which was located in Carrick, may be associated with McNeal and her acquaintances.

“We are very concerned about Marie’s welfare, based on the duration of her absence and the fact there are some suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance,” said Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey.

“Our detectives, deputies, and Search and Rescue personnel are working hard to locate (McNeal),” Lopey said, “but we need anyone with information about Marie’s whereabouts to contact the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office.”

I wonder what is making her disappearance "suspicious in nature"? Was there some sort of evidence that she has been harmed?
And the van "associated with her acquaintances"?

I wonder what is making her disappearance "suspicious in nature"? Was there some sort of evidence that she has been harmed?
And the van "associated with her acquaintances"?

They for sure keep cards close to the vest. They seem to know her acquaintances but don’t name them. Makes me think they have received some tips but are not certain a crime has been committed.
