Per NAMUS:

Ruth Garcia-Acosta was reported missing by her family on February 6, 2026. According to family members, they last saw her on the evening of February 1, 2026. During the course of the investigation, officers spoke with an acquaintance of Ruth’s who reported that he and Ruth traveled to a car dealership in Sacramento on the evening of February 3, 2026. This acquaintance stated that while at the dealership [Auto World of Sacramento, located at 6080 Elder Creek Road in Sacramento], Ruth walked away from him and his vehicle. This acquaintance reported that he has not seen or heard from Ruth since that time.

Ruth is 5'5", 135 lbs. She has a distinctive panther tattoo on her neck.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a pink dress and gray stockings.

guessing the police are being cagey with information here, because a lot of obvious questions that I'm sure were asked are left unanswered here.

from Google street view, i think I'm seeing security cameras at both the dealership and the body shop next door. Hopefully not too hard to check out this "associate's" story.

also, who goes to a car dealership in the evening? I'm guessing what the associate said is they gave her a ride. presumably the idea was to meet up with someone. if there was someone there, shouldn't be hard to find and talk to them. if it was closed and no one was there, the story is suspect.
