Circumstances of Recovery The decedent was an unidentified Hispanic female who was inpatient at Edgemoor Hospital in the city of Santee. In July of 2016, the decedent was found wandering in the area of the United States/Mexico International Border prior to being transported and admitted to Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. On 10/11/2016, the decedent was transferred from Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital to Edgemoor Hospital for long term care. The decedent's level of health continued to decline and she died of natural causes on April 23, 2023. The San Diego Medical Examiner is seeking her identity and next of kin.
