JOHN DOE #75-2 / CASE #78-511 | Coroner

On June 7, 1978, the badly decomposed remains of an adult male were found on the north side of Tunitas Creek Road, one-quarter mile east of Bolitas Creek Road, in the coastal area of unincorporated San Mateo County.
The remains were located approximately 30-40 feet down an embankment, lying near a creek.
Initially, there were two bodies located at the scene;
one being identified as Raymond Oscar Wilson.
The remains bore no identification.
This subject may have been a member of the gay community in San Francisco.

Distinguishing Marks/Tattoos: Possible scar on the inner aspect of the right leg, just below knee

Circumstances of Recovery The badly decomposed remains were found 30-40 feet down an embankment, lying near a creek on the north side of Tunitas Creek Road, .25 miles east of Lobitas Creek Road in coastal area of unincorporated San Mateo County.
A second body, later identified as Raymond Oscar Wilson was located near the remains.

Have tried looking for any info on this to see if it looked like both of the men where fumed at the same time in that area.
I have also looked to see if I could find any info on Raymond Oscar Wilson the guy that was identified and I could not find anything there either.
It's sad how frustrating these cases can be nd then the older they get the less info there is out there and or people die nd or move away nd forget.
I guess that is why I try no drag the ones I find out into the light.

Looks like something that would be noticed and possibly remembered when the guy smiled is that the tooth next to his front Right tooth was broken?? just a thought.

i remember years ago I dated a guy and the tooth next to his left front tooth was broken nd when he smiled you could really notice it. So much so I still remember it!

I found nothing on Raymond who I believe your right holds the key… well I had found nothing untl tonight. I believe an article I found has a sketch and some info but no mention of Raymond.

The aforementioned CLONE MURDERS stand out as an aberration in the long line of Gay murders in San Francisco. The victims had been seen in S.F. Gay bars, but then they vanished. When their bodies had been found, it was clear they had been tortured before death. Unlike most of the S.F. Gay murder victims their bodies had been transported to an isolated area of Tunitas Creek Road in San Mateo County. Some victims could be identified. Two victims remain John Does to this day.

Why was it necessary for the killer in this case to transport the bodies? Well, 6 more Gay victims being found in S.F. in 1978 would add to quite a tally already. And this could cause more Gay vigilantes and more neighborhood watch. But leaving the bodies where they were killed could also identify the killing location, and I would suggest they were all killed in the same hidden lair.

David Likens has been found guilty of these CLONE MURDERS in the court of public gay opinion. After all, he had served time for a similar murder earlier. He was into sado and bondage, and he hung himself in jail rather than face trial. But there is evidence that indicates more than one perp was involved. Likens didn’t have a car, though he had a buddy who did. Likens also didn’t exactly have a convenient lair. He had a flat in Haight, but then moved in with a buddy named Danny Hepburn on Henry Street. Hepburn also killed himself (officially). Likens had essentially been a prostitute out of an escort service on Church Street in Noe Valley, south of Castro. He could have connected with victims here, but the books of an escort service seem an easy way to link him to the murders. There is no easy answer as to where the victims were killed, but the “Robert Redford of Gay ” may have been involved. However, these may not be thrill murders.

That's possible. But it's also possible that the two men met a gay bar, decided to have a quick sexual encounter in public, and their attacker either surprised them at the location, or went with them with or without their knowledge. If Raymond had just met the other victim, then there would be little to no connection between the two men.
