What a coincidence, I was just thinking about her the other day. I drive by the school she taught at often.
I hope this new investigation in to possible new DNA comes up with some answers.

I definitely think her husband is involved.

On the 10th of this month, it will be 25 years since she disappeared. No recent updates, resolution or closure. How sad and frustrating for her daughters.

I used to live in Fresno, and I am familiar with this shopping center. At the time of her disappearance, I remember that it was reported that there was a shopping bag from Marshall's (I think it was Marshall's) in the car with items that she had just purchased that day. Marshall's is in the same shopping center.

I wonder if she shopped, went to her car, put her purse and shopping bag in the car, but then noticed that someone she knew pulled up behind, or next to her in the lot. I wonder if she then shut the door to the car and started to speak with someone (I do this to keep that annoying buzzing sound from going off when the door is opened-if my keys are in the ignition), then was grabbed?

I also noticed that her husband's cell phone was traced to Reedley. Reedley is not at all far from the foothills of the Sierras. It has a lot of open land and forested areas nearby. It's also nowhere near Kerman, where he worked. I wonder why he was in Reedley?

I'm glad to see there's a thread for Sandra. I've thought of this case often over the years, and I've always felt so sad for her daughters (she had two adult daughters).

From above link:

Sandra was last seen in Fresno, California on July 10, 1999. She was leaving her daughter's residence in the 1600 block of DeYoung to go shopping at approximately 11:30 a.m. Sandra was driving her white 1993 Ford Explorer, which was discovered abandoned in front of a Target store in the parking lot of the River Park Shopping Center, within walking distance of her home, two days afterwards. Sandra's purse and the vehicle's keys were found inside it. The driver's seat had been adjusted for someone much taller than her height. There was no sign of her near the car and she has never been heard from again. Sandra's relatives told authorities that it is very uncharacteristic of her to leave without contacting her loved ones.

Sandra was employed as a teacher at Gibson Elementary School in Fresno in 1999. She was married to Frank Ray Kerby, who was employed by the Kerman Unified School District in California. Authorities stated that Frank gave conflicting statements about his wife's disappearance and has refused to cooperate with the investigation since its initial stages. He claims he was in Fresno on the day Sandra disappeared, but that day a call was made from his cellular phone in Reedley, California.

I went to Selma High School, where flirty Frank Kirby was coach of the wrestling team.
Our senior head cheerleader, no pun intended, 1974, was openly bragging about her affair with Frank.
She was extremely pleased with herself for her real man affair.
I was a kid, freshman cheerleader, wide eyed and completely gobsmacked.
Coach Kirby's dutiful wife Sandra would come to the matches with her precious toddler girls in tow to support Frank.
I was so uncomfortable knowing. He's always been a self absorbed, cheating, narcissistic cad.
25 Years folks. This is solvable.
What phone records are there between Sandra, Frank and daughters, or between Frank and anyone else that day/week? Did he have an uptick in conversations with anyone? Was he following Sandra?
What did the mistress who fled Frank immediately after Sandra's disappearance say to police?
She was completely terrified!
Did police ever test Sandra's new shopping bags for DNA?
There should be no reason for Franks DNA to be on those new bags.
Did Police retain shopping bags or hand them over to the family.
Bottom Line? It's been 25 years. Police need to reinterview Franks mistress who fled, and those many mistresses before her. Two decades + worth. Where in Reedley were Franks hang out spots?
Reedley is only 15 minutes from Selma. Frank knows these areas very very well. Frank would be prepared. "allegedly"
Focus on Reedley. Can old cell info be re-analyzed with new technology or is the old data stagnant?
Can police now determine if Frank and Sandras phones traveled together at the time of her shopping trip?
Funny, Frank never "recovered" well enough for that "maybe later" polygraph, or to cooperate with police, ever again.
A man wanting to find his missing wife does not lawyer up and refuse to cooperate. He didn't want to give her half.
Does the last mistress have kids of her own now and perhaps feel differently about justice?
25 years is too long. Re- interview, Re-examine the Sandra Kirby case, Fresno PD.

One daughter has questions. The other is defending dad. Frank stopped all cooperation. Police need to re examine old witnesses/misstresses. Is there still a reward? Local Media should collectively re-publicize. Anyone doing a podcast?

I think it was pretty clear it was her husband... He was on Gibson when she disappeared... A parking lot was later built at that mall, but I don't think it was built until several years later... Supposedly, the day after she disappeared, the concrete for the parking lot to the left of Edwards was poured; from what I read... some people in the area had heard that... Apparently, her husband had ties to construction or a concrete company, so that's why the theory came up... It's really strange, he's not considered a suspect, but it's not ruled out either...
whatever

On Gibson? Can you clarify?
I have heard the parking garage rumors as well as a few others. I can’t get past the remains that were found east of Fresno. Local news stations reported them as being hers but later came back and said it wasn’t because the dental records didn’t match IIRC. The remains were found in the same direction that Frank’s cellphone placed him in at the time of the disappearance. The remains also were never mentioned again, never identified (at least not publicly) and I do not believe they were ever entered into NAMUS either. If I thought Frank could somehow pull it off, I would wonder if the wrong dental records were sent to LE.

That's exactly the problem... there's no clarity on the issue of the remains... maybe yes, maybe not... from what I investigated, he had ties or was a contracting company in the parking lot issue... but it seems terrible and brutal to me that you murdered your wife and buried her and put tons of cement on top of her to be able to get rid of her and stay with another woman... really inconceivable... why didn't he just go away and leave her... why kill her?
