Napa, Calif. – Community, we need your help finding a missing 1 year old child and his mother. Oneyear-old Saul Martinez Rafael disappeared with his mother, 26-year-old Antonia Rafael-Valasquez, during an unsupervised visit.
The child has been in Child Welfare Services (CWS) custody since summer of 2024. At 1:00 PM, CWS dropped Saul off at Antonia Rafael-Valasquez's Napa residence for the visitation. When CWS workers returned at 4:00 PM, Saul and his mother were gone. Officers at her residence observed the contents of Antonia Rafael-Valasquez’s closet had been cleared out. Antonia Rafael-Valasquez has no known vehicle.
Both mother and son are entered into the National database for missing persons. We are investigating all possibilities of why she has not been in contact with CWS including whether this is a possible parental abduction. At this point, there is no evidence of foul play.
