Hurrah, was finally able to find something on him. He was found closer to Truckee then Tahoe City.

"A Kings Beach man found a human skull Saturday on a hill near the Wildlife Management area at Martis Valley, just off Highway 267."

15 February 1991, The Sacramento Bee, pg 18

"...additional bones found Sunday"

"...skull found Feb 9th in a wildlife area outside Truckee has been determined to be that of a white male, about 30 years old...the victim had been dead no more then five years."

"The skull and additional bones were found in the Martis Creek Wildlife Reserve."

"The case was being treated as a suspicious death."

"Because cattle bones were found nearby and there were no other human bones located...it was thought that the skull could have been brought to the site by a cayote."
