IlIegal drugs & dealing - is there any end to damage, injury, & heartache they cause?

The 3-story apt bldg had 69 units. From Tricia's link:

"All of the suspects are tied to the 18th Street gang, according to multiple sources. The motive for the fire apparently was part of an effort by the gang to keep control of the narcotics business in the neighborhood, officials said....
"Just hours before the blaze erupted, the apartments’ manager ordered two men out of the building, suspecting that they were dealing drugs. Police said at the time that dealers in the neighborhood were selling thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs a day, much of it coming from the Burlington building." bbm sbm

Prosecutors say three people have pleaded not guilty to murder charges in connection with a 1993 Los Angeles apartment building fire that killed 10 people, including seven children.

Ramiro Valerio, Joseph Monge and Johanna Lopez appeared in court Tuesday afternoon to face 12 counts of murder and other charges...

Ten people, including two pregnant women, were killed in the May 1993 fire in the Westlake district. Court papers show two of the murder charges relate to the women's unborn fetuses.
