OROVILLE, Calif. – The family of a missing Oroville woman is asking the public for help in locating her.

Oroville police confirmed they are investigating after the family of Vicky Cline filed a missing person’s report.

A car registered in her name was found burned on Pine Street in Oroville on Saturday, June 6. Family members say since then, no one has been able to get in contact with her.

Cline is described at 5’7”, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asking to contact the Oroville Police Department at 530-538-2448.

Man arrested for vehicle arson named person of interest in missing person case

Oroville Police arrested a man for the arson of a vehicle that is registered missing woman, Vicky Cline. The man is in custody and is a person of interest in her disappearance.

Oroville Police personnel say they identified a person of interest, 36-year-old Ryan Blinston, in the arson case and an arrest warrant was ultimately issued for Blinston’s arrest.

On June 14, Blinston was located and taken into custody.

According to police, Blinston was booked into the Butte County Jail for violation of section 451 of the Penal Code (Arson).

Oroville Police say they are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Cline and are asking for help from the public.

Blinston remains a person of interest.

The body of Vicky Cline was found in Plumas County.
On June 21, detectives were notified by Plumas County Search and Rescue that the remains of a female had been located in a remote part of Plumas County. Authorities said they arrived in the area and assisted in the recovery efforts. On Monday, June 22, BCSO positively identified the remains to be Cline.

Oroville man suspected of setting missing woman's vehicle on fire found after attacking victim with a knife

Investigators learned Blinston was staying with an acquaintance on an 80-acre parcel in a remote area along Milsap Bar Road in Berry Creek.


During the early morning hours of Sunday, deputies with the Butte County SWAT team went to search for Blinston under the cover of darkness.

The sheriff’s office says the SWAT team had traveled about a quarter-mile when they started hearing screams for help and banging. They came upon an RV, where they saw Blinston holding a hatchet.

The 36-year-old suspect ran into the woods and deputies chased after. During the chase, the sheriff’s office says another group of deputies went to the RV and found a man bleeding profusely from a neck laceration.
 

Ryan Blinston was found guilty of murdering 57-year-old Vicky Cline, 88-year-old Loreen Severs and 82-year-old Sandra George. Blinston was found guilty of attempted murder of Loreen’s husband, Homer Severs, 91, and a 50-year-old Brush Cree man on June 14, 2020.

Blinston was also found guilty of arson and resisting arrest,
