Victor Trejo, 21, was last seen around 5 a.m. at an apartment in the 5800 block of Almendra Court, police said.

He's described as Hispanic, 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds, short black hair, brown eyes, tattoo of "Cristina" on his neck, and was last seen wearing a black and orange San Francisco Giants hat, white shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots.

I looked also thinking a noticeable apartment complex. I stopped looking but thought perhaps a house turned into a duplex/apartments?

The man found deceased was identified as Nicholas Lee Rubright.

New developments tonight in the case of a missing Bakersfield man, as police are now saying Victor Trejo is the victim of a homicide. Now they need your help finding the man wanted for questioning.

Five days later, his car was found abandoned in a South Bakersfield neighborhood. From the start, Trejo's family suspected the worst. In November, BPD held a large scale operation in an attempt to locate evidence in Trejo's case, but they say their search came up empty.

Now, they're looking for Julio Lara who they say fled to Mexico. Lara is wanted for questioning in the Trejo case. They say there is also an active arrest warrant for Lara on charges of kidnapping to commit robbery, assault with a firearm, and robbery. Julio Lara is 33 years old and 5'11. Investigators say his whereabouts in Mexico are unknown.

Two months ago, BPD held a massive dig for evidence in the case. Though they say they came up empty and Trejo's body has not been recovered, they're still treating his case as a murder investigation.

Thank you. It's hard not to think there are similarities to that of the B3 case, although I believe the local media has only said that there's no relation to other missing persons cases.

Very sad.
