Umm, it is so obvious it is him. Last contact shortly before he was found. Stats and location match. Mental illness also matches.

Haven’t heard any updates after submitting match in November of 2024. How eager are they to pursue such cases?
Suicides are lower priority for most PDs, unfortunately. Especially when they’re such old cases. I’ve submitted potential matches before that take over 6 months to rule out. In other cases, I’ve seen it take over 2 years due to lack of DNA availability and having to go through exhumations etc.

But FWIW, I think you’ve found him. Well done. Is there any way you can contact the PD to ask about any progress since your submission?
