Calling ME/LE in English: any tips ?

Hi,

I am very shy about calling authorities in English, but not in my mother tongue, nor in Italian.

It becomes a problem when I want to sunggest tips for matching UID & MP. Most of them prefer being reached by telephone.

Any tip for being more comfortable with calling ME/LE in English ?

Any script (for lack of better word) to introduce myself at ME/LE ? This is where I (miserably) fail every time.
