Can’t find these cases…

There are two separate cases that I read about a few years ok that I can’t find. I know these cases happened and I have been searching for them and nothing is popping up. I feel like I’m losing it..

case number 1: Parents reluctantly let daughter have a relationship and move in with much older man. I can’t recall if he was a teacher or sometime of authority figure over her who he started an inappropriate relationship with. After awhile I believe the girl wanted out of the relationship and ended up being murdered by him. It was a very sad case where the parents just wanted their daughter to be happy so they accepted him only for him to abuse and murder her. I am not referring to the case of the daughter who was adopted and then had a relationship and became pregnant by her biological father….

case 2: A woman had broken off a relationship but was still cordial with the ex. I can’t recall if they were married or not but I believe they had a child together and the woman had older children from previous relationships. Everything seemed to be ok between them. The man would come over and even take the trash cans to the curb for the woman. Then one day he breaks in or was allowed in and started shooting at the woman and her family. The woman was not killed but I believe her oldest daughter was and I think another one later died in the hospital. The woman had a son who was not there during the shooting but later committed suicide. The woman died a few years after the shooting but I am not sure about the cause. I believe they were Hispanic. I know this is vague but I always think about how sad this situation was.

When did they occur? Within the last decade? Longer?

Thank you for the welcome. I’ve been a lurker for years and actually had an account that I no longer have access to. I know I haven’t provided much info for either cases. They both occurred in the United States. Both happened in the early 2000s. No later than 2010 I believe. It’s been driving me nuts trying to find them.

Do you remember where about geographically these cases were?

Hi! Thank you for your response. I don’t remember where these cases happened. I know. Very frustrating. I do believe the shooting occurred in a state that gets snowy winters. Not very helpful.
