''Public asked to keep an eye out for missing North Delta man
Anmol Jagat, 21, left his home near 114th Street and 80th Avenue at 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24''
''Delta police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing 21-year-old North Delta man.

Police say Anmol Jagat left his residence near 114th Street and 80th Avenue at 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24. His direction of travel is unknown.

He is described as 6’1” tall with a medium build and long black hair. Jagat wears glasses and was last seen wearing black pants, black shoes, a white jacket, a green shirt and a black toque.

Police say they have taken a number of investigative steps without success, and are now turning to the public for assistance.

“Anmol’s family is extremely concerned for his safety, and says disappearing in such a manner is not in his character,” Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for the Delta Police Department, said in a press release.

Leykauf notes the family only moved to North Delta three months ago from outside B.C., so Jagat is not that familiar with the area. He is known to like forested areas, and does not use transit.

Anyone with any information about Anmol Jagat’s disappearance, such as home security camera footage which may have captured his image, is asked to call the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411.

If you believe you see Jagat, call 911.''

Is he wearing a backpack in the video? I can’t tell.

This is very worrisome. Police don't suspect foul play. What does it mean that he 'likes forested areas and he doesn't use public transit'? How does he normally get around? Does he have a car?
And they've found his knapsack. Unfortunately we don't know what was in it or where it was found. (Not blaming LE. I'm sure they have their reasons for not releasing that.)

And where did he arrive from? Did he move from elsewhere in Canada? Is it from outside of Canada? Did he actually want to move to BC with his family? How has his mental state been?

So many questions. His family must be in a panic. He's just a young man.
<hugs> to them.

ETA: I see that he was last seen less than 2km from the Fraser River. Luckily (?) he was last seen well before the Fraser River flooding of the the past week.

'Please come home,' mother pleads to man who vanished a week ago in B.C.
''His mother says the family moved from India to Saskatchewan in 2019, then relocated to B.C. just three months ago. They don't have any other relatives living here.
Channi said she's especially concerned because her son didn't take his medication with him when he left the house.

"Please come home," she said in a message directed to her son. Directing her next comment to those in the community, she said simply, "My son is missing … Help me."
