Circumstances of Disappearance:
Malinak disappeared while on a fishing trip with friends at Long Lake, Ontario, on September 11, 1976. That evening he had taken a boat out on Lost Lake from Mountain Lodge which was found at the east end in a foot of water. His rain jacket and hat were still in the boat, but he was nowhere to be found. Malinak has never been located and is presumed drowned.
