Watson Lake RCMP respond to attempted abduction | Royal Canadian Mounted Police

''On Friday, August 25, 2023, Watson Lake RCMP was contacted about an attempted abduction at the Andrea Hotel between 22:00 and 23:05 hours.
The female victim reported that a male grabbed her and tried to shove her into a tractor trailer. The victim was helped by a bystander who helped push the man away from her.
The perpetrator is described as:

• Male
• Around 50 years old
• Blue eyes
• Receding hairline
• Around 5'7" (170cm)
• Possibly wearing a blue shirt

The tractor trailer was described as red with a white box.
Watson Lake RCMP are working with the victim to gather more information and investigate further.
The RCMP are appealing to the public for any information they might have that could help identify the male. We would also like to speak with the bystander to see if they could share more information about the incident.

• Hair is light, ashy brown or grey
• Approx. 50 years old
• Dark eyes
• Broad and heavier build''
