''On the evening of February 16, 2023, the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a missing 28-year-old female, Breanna Lee Hudson.

The investigation has determined that Breanna left a residence in Ile Des Chenes in the early morning hours of February 16, 2023, and was picked-up by Shaquille MacFarlane, a 29-year-old male.

Police and family are very concerned for Breanna’s safety and wellbeing.

Breanna is described as 5’4” tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Shaquille MacFarlane is described as 5’10” tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He currently has warrants for his arrest for:

-Uttering threats against a person x2

-Assault

-Extortion

-Obstruct justice

He is also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his bail conditions.

Shaquille and Breanna are believed to be travelling together and may be in a black pick-up truck. Shaquille may be attempting to make his way to Calgary.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP at 204-433-7433 or their local police of jurisdiction. ''

“It’s horrifying. It’s a mother’s worst nightmare. Her life has been threatened and I am afraid for her, and everybody else should be too” Crystal Loden, 44, said by phone Saturday.

Manitoba RCMP deemed 28-year-old Breanna Lee Hudson a missing person Thursday evening.''

''MacFarlane and Hudson are married, Loden said.''

She could not provide specifics about the ongoing investigation, but said “due to circumstances that happened throughout the day (Thursday),” she believes her daughter’s life is at risk.

“I’m trying to raise awareness so people who may see her, or know her whereabouts, understand that she may seem like she is not in danger, but she really is,” she said.

Hudson is a mother to one child from a separate relationship. The 8-year-old girl is safe, and was not present when Hudson left Ile des Chênes, Loden said.

Police said MacFarlane and Hudson may be travelling in a black pickup truck. They could be in the Winnipeg area or attempting to travel to Calgary.

“The RCMP believes that they are still travelling together and that Shaquille MacFarlane is actively evading police. Breanna’s family and police remain very concerned for her safety and well being,” RCMP spokesperson Robert Cyrenne said in an email Saturday.

 

The mother of Breanna Lee Hudson is putting up a $5,000 reward in the hope it will lead to the return of her missing daughter, who she says is also pregnant.

"I'm terrified, I'm worried, I'm exhausted and I'm scared of what's happened to her," Crystal Loden told CBC News on Thursday, which marks one week since Hudson, 28, left a home in Ile des Chênes, southeast of Winnipeg.

"I'm wondering if she's safe, if she's been hurt, if she's alive, if she's going to come back. It's horrible. I just want her back.

"So we're going to put a reward for safe return with my daughter."

Frankly, while this may be completely true, its also on its face a bit sketchy. IMO

From what I read there is zero evidence that Breanna, as an adult, hasn't just willingly left. On the contrary, it certainly seems like she DID leave willingly. Sure, maybe her mom isn't happy about that, but its not really up to her mom.

That said, what in the world is Breanna doing with this dude?

Loden believes her daughter was taken and is being held against her will.

"She had been messaging that day, that night that she was afraid for her life, that he was going to kill her, that he had a knife — that she was afraid for her life," Loden said.

"We're concerned, obviously, for her safety. We have not heard from her. She is pregnant, so she does require medical care. She needs to be able to see a doctor."

Hudson's daughter doesn't know her mom is missing, but wants to see her, Loden said.

"And she's a mother. Her daughter needs her mom home and she wants to know why her mom can't call her. She would never leave her [eight-year-old daughter], so we know something's wrong."

It's very possible she left of her own will however if he is evading the law currently it's just as possible he took her to prevent her from spilling the beans on his whereabouts. And I could be wrong but I think in cases like this especially if she's pregnant it's better to investigate as if she didn't leave willingly and be wrong than assume she's left willing and be wrong on that.

That's the thing, right? There are a lot of possibilities. Many are posited by her mom, and without any evidence. It could be that mom doesn't like the boyfriend and seeks to cause issues for them via LE. Overprotective mom, daughter hanging with a bad dude. We've all seen that before.

One wonders why she would be with him at all, but certainly she was with him of her own free will at one point since they are MARRIED. There's no reason to believe anything changed. There's no evidence that she is in any danger or cannot see a doctor or cannot visit her daughter whenever she wants.

Anyway, speculation and wild accusations shouldn't play a role. If there is evidence then act on it. Otherwise, let the girl live her life, good decisions and bad.

Maybe I am being totally naïve, but I don't see this as a missing person is any real sense of the term.
