IHIT identifies homicide victim as "Chucky" (Charles Henry Klose)

Police have identified a man found dead in a parking lot in Chilliwack, B.C., late Saturday.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says Charles Henry Klose, 58, was well-known in downtown Chilliwack. Investigators said Klose lived a "transient lifestyle."

An Abbotsford man who was the victim of a homicide on Saturday night (June 6) in Chilliwack is being described as a kind and gentle soul who was forgiving of everyone.

Charles (Chucky) Klose, 58, was found dead at about 11 p.m. at the back of the Scotiabank parking lot in the 46000 block of Yale Road in Chilliwack.

But he said Klose had strong connections in Chilliwack and often travelled there to visit his friends.

On Saturday, Klose was seen near Sevenoaks Shopping Centre in Abbotsford. He then took the bus from the Bourquin Exchange to Chilliwack.

The RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is looking for tips into the death of Charles Klose who was seen at approximately 12:45 p.m. on June 6, 2020 near the Bourquin Bus Loop in Abbotsford (right) and at approximately 3:30 p.m. near the Chilliwack Court House close to where he was found dead that night. Am familiar with this location. It is a high crime area of old Chilliwack.

My heart hurts for this poor, harmless soul. How could anyone ?
