No. Just no. Poor baby. Her life is changed forever. This guy showed the system who he was and they refused to believe him. And this baby paid the price. Shame.

It says he served his whole sentence, which is fairly rare, so it’s not really a discretionary matter at this point - they have to release him. Why charges like this don’t come with longer sentences is a separate question; and one that a lot of countries need to seriously consider, including Canada and the US.

Dang. I didn't realize that was his whole sentence!!! That's even more ridiculous. I think if speeding in construction zones can get you double the fine, crimes against children, elderly, people with disabilities should be double the sentence
