Searchers looking for missing 37-year-old Comox Valley man Daniel ‘Eli’ Gordey near Campbell River

A search is underway for a missing 37-year-old Comox Valley man near Campbell River in the Loveland Bay area.

Daniel ‘Eli’ Gordey recently failed to return home from Loveland Bay, after being notified of his disappearance officers found his vehicle in the area — a gray 2010 Toyota Matrix.

Campbell River Search and Rescue was then contacted and a search of the area has been in place since that time.

Police and Campbell River SAR are being supported by vessels, RCMP Air Services, RCMP police dog services, drones, Comox 442 SAR Squadron and SAR volunteers from across the Island.

Another man missing near a body of water. Campbell River is the same area that Jordan Holling went missing last October. I am hoping for quick resolution for Daniel's case. Daniel and Jordan both go missing but their means of transportation are found.

No explanation as to why Daniel was in Campbell River. Did he travel there for recreational purposes or visit friends. Was his car parked near the river or more toward the town. Any damage to the car or signs of foul play within the car. Did Daniel have any medical conditions. Did Daniel have a cell phone with him and if so has family made any attempt to contact him. Not much information released to the public.
