Alberta Canada, foster care supervisor faces child charges

An Alberta foster care supervisor is facing child charges.

Daniel Quiring Stoesz, 62, of Lac La Biche is charged with possessing and making available child .

Police began investigating after receiving information from the FBI in Connecticut about someone distributing child over the internet from a home in Lac La Biche.

On Thursday, police searched Stoesz's home and seized computer equipment and electronic storage devices.

Stoesz was not there at the time of the search but was arrested later. Police also searched Stoesz’s workplace, seizing additional computer equipment.

RCMP Sgt. Mike Lokken with the Internet Child Exploitation [ICE] unit said there is nothing to indicate that any of the children Stoesz may have encountered through his work are involved.
