Fetus found in Oakville park

Does anyone know how old the fetus was, and if it was born alive or dead? I sure hope the mother is okay, and did what she did because she was scared and didn't know what else to do.

I'm sure we will find out more soon. I'm thinking if it was near full term or looked like a baby the article may have been worded different. I could be wrong though. MOO.

When I lived in my old town, about 15 years ago, someone found a "22 week fetal baby" at a water plant, but never located the mother. They did have a funeral for it, and buried it in a local cemetery.

I think so too. Likely too early to have had a chance of survival, or it would have been a baby... premature babies aren't called fetuses.. so maybe 4-5 months as it was big enough to spot.
(eta, just saw the pedestrian was walking their dog so may have been even smaller)

This mother may truly not have known she was pregnant, or at least didn't expect to have a miscarriage in the park.
I wonder what the law about miscarriages is in Canada?

I would've left my fetus in the park too. Why would anyone seek medical care if you can be blamed for your miscarriage and imprisoned? Smh. MOO.

Wondering if it could be anything like this case, also in TO, where a placenta was found in a park and turned out to be some kind of ritual as opposed to anything nefarious.
