Excerpts from the article:
CALGARY HERALD Wednesday, October 25, 1995. The security camera at the Kings Crew motorcycle club headquarters caught the last known image of founding member David Jacob Sallenback driving off in his pickup truck. That was 2:30 a.m. April 28. No one has seen or heard from him since...
"Everybody's got a theory," said a Kings Crew spokesman, who spoke on the condition his name or business was not named... "People don't know what to think," said the spokesman. Crew members and police do not believe the case is linked to Montreal's ongoing biker war between the Hell's Angels, which has influence in Alberta, and rival Quebec clubs.
At least 27 people have been killed there in 18 months of bloodletting in the Montreal area. Sallenback's disappearance is eerily similar to that of Kings Crew member Louis Aaron Blatt, 38. He disappeared in September 1987 [and his] case was likely related to Calgary's biker war of the 1980s between the Kings Crew and Grim Reapers.
No one believes Sallenback's case is linked to the old war. "It's over. We made our truce," said the Crew's spokesman...
He is six feet two inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He was last seen drinking in Calgary with an old friend before he vanished April 28 in his blue 1984 Ford Ranger pickup, plate LWP 183. He had about $12, no credit cards, and his bank account has not been touched. His family filed a missing person complaint with police May 1. Since he vanished, neither his truck or his name has surfaced on any North American police computer.

So was Jacob last seen on April 26 or April 28?
Jacob was last seen, essentially, drinking and driving, as per the article. Could that be a factor, especially since his truck also was never found? Are there large bodies of water in the area?
Or what about the motorcycle club angle? Yes, the member they interviewed doesn't think that's likely. But that person also spoke on condition of strict anonymity, suggesting they fear possible repercussions, so I don't know how much I trust their theory. I'd be afraid, too, if there had just been 27 murders in 18 months because of biker "bloodletting." Could rival members have been waiting for Jacob outside the bar for whatever reason, and then harmed him and disposed of his truck afterwards?
